Ingredients
  • 2 3/4 cups heavy cream divided
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups croissants cubed

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat 1 3/4 cups cream, the milk, and 1/2 cup sugar until the sugar is dissolved; do not allow to boil. Remove from the heat.
  3. Add the chocolate and whisk until melted.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg and 1 tsp of the vanilla.
  5. Gradually whisk in the chocolate mixture until well blended.
  6. Add the croissant cubes and stir gently until coated. Transfer the mixture to a 6-cup baking dish and sprinkle the top with 1 Tbsp sugar.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the center of the pudding is gently set. Do not over-bake.
  8. While the pudding is baking, whip the remaining 1 cup cream with 2 Tbsp sugar and 1 tsp vanilla.
  9. Serve the pudding warm with the whipped cream.
